yeah thats what I thought too. So is that the same as customer consignment stock ?

I think this is quite a straightforward one; sales stock is stock that is used for a sales order. When you produce, for example, a bespoke product for a customer that you would not normally hold in standard inventory, then you use SAP sales stock, and the components and finished product is allocated against the sales order number. When you deliver the product you need to despatch from sales order stock. Customer stock on the other hand is stock issued by the customer to you and remains part of their inventory, held in your plant, used for example, to repair a product that the customer has issued to you.
