There is away to solve this problem .

If you ask your developer to modify this program in such a manner that whenever this job is executed ,it shall set the dialog excution time of the assigned WP to an appropriate value i.e. 1800 and once the program is finished ,it shall reset the WP run time to default.

Bow as of Nw 2004 ,you can increase and decrease the Dialog runtime value dynamically.Hope it helps
Thanks and Best Regards

As far as I know , increasing the time wil effect the dialog work process and so the performance. Try to run them as background jobs which is the best option. By just increasing the time , the report may run but you may not be able to indetify if there are any bottlenecks in the design or program related with the report. —–Original Message—– Hi, Is it a good practice to increase rdisp/max_wprun_time more than 900? I have a report that used to timeout most of the time. For some reason Icant run that In background. What you suggest ..?? Thanks, Prince
