make sure u give full permission to /oracle/<sid>
as root and then login off and login as orasid and then start the database installation.

Dear All, I started to install sap (ABAP+JAVA) on AIX 5.3 system. But I get stuck on an error. On phase 8 of 45 it’s gave me a massage: SAPinst now stop the installation. To proceed successfully with installation, you must install the oracle database as follows: 1. log in as user oraids 2. set th DISPLAY variable. 3. change the directory /oracle/stage/102_64/database/Disk1/SAP 4. start ./RUNINSTALLER When I run this command it asks me to run rootpre.sh. I ran rootore.sh successfully. I Run rootpre.sh by root login Then continue by pressing y After this it given me an error saying display variable not set properly. I confirm environment variable setting by executing command /usr/bin/X11/xclock. It shows me clock as out put. Its mean variable is set properly. How can I continue?
